Terms relating to profiles we create of clients’ businesses
By appointing us to create an optimised profile of your business in our business directories, you (the client) are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
We may not have availability to start work immediately on your company profile but will agree with you a date by which work will start.
Profiles that we create of our clients’ businesses are based on the information supplied to us by them. We have published this information in good faith but do not provide any warranty as to the validity or accuracy of information supplied by our clients, nor do we accept any responsibility for the reliability, suitability or safety of any product listed on the profile.
While we can simplify the information you provide for publication on your business profile, you are responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and legality of all content.
Any content that you give us for publication on the profile will be assumed to be your property and free from copyright. Any people referred to in content that you give us including images or text is assumed to have the consent of the associated persons for publication on the profile.
We reserve the right to refuse to profile or link to an organisation or its website if we judge either to be unfit for publication in our directories. This includes, but is not limited by, sites containing adult oriented material, sites which promote ethnic, social or religious discord, and sites which infringe copyright or do not comply with UK laws. The decision to accept an organisation as an advertising or sponsoring member of our directories is solely at our discretion.
Browser compatibility
We aim to design profile pages which display acceptably in Internet Explorer 5 and 6, Mozilla and Firefox, but cannot accept responsibility for pages which do not display acceptably in less common browsers, or in versions of browsers released after pages have been designed. We do not guarantee to design pages which will display in all browsers.
Availability of profiles and search engine listings
We seek to achieve high positions in the main UK search engines, however, the ranking of websites and profiles is beyond our control and we can accept no responsibility or liability if a particular search engine, online directory or search site chooses not to list your profile or if it only ranks it highly for certain keyword phrases.
We do not accept any responsibility for any action beyond our control that may affect your services. We are not responsible for the content of any third party linked site.
We make every effort to maintain the position of your company profile in the search engines, but cannot be held responsible for lapses in the service or changes to the search engine position of your profile due to factors beyond our control, such as a change in search engine ranking algorithms, or down time on our Lycos server.
We reserve the right to suspend or modify the service at any time provided that there is a justifiable reason for doing so, such as a breach of any of these terms.
Payment terms
Our fees are subject to VAT at the current rate.
All invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
We reserve the right to remove client profiles if payment is not received by the due date.
We reserve the right to increase charges for new entries in the directory. Please check the site for the current advertising charges.
