The Food Advertising Unit (FAU) was set up in 1995 under the auspices of the Advertising Association, as a centre for information, communication and research on the issue of food advertising to children.
FAU membership is composed of multi-national food companies, agencies and broadcast media, offering a wide representation of the food advertising industry.
The objective of the Food Advertising website is to provide a comprehensive source of reference on the topical debate over food advertising. Audiences include the public, advertisers, agencies, MPs, students, and the press.
Fen Digital were commissioned to redesign the site. The design brief was to create a clear, usable site that would simplify the user experience of navigating through the extensive research. The website has been built to conform to priority 1 accessibility standards and the text can be resized for users with poor vision.

Website promotion
Fen Digital built the FAU site so that it would perform well in the search engines. In fact, the website has exceeded all expectations, consistently achieving first place in Google out of 105,000,000 sites competing for the keyword phrase ‘Food Advertising’.
